The Most Wonderful Time of the Year!

I really do think that this is the most wonderful time of the year! Even though I sometimes get quite stressed by the shopping and the crowds, I love picking out a gift that I just know the person receiving it is going to love! I love getting out all the Christmas decorations and trimming the tree (our stocking are hung by the chimney with care), putting out all my Christmas snow globes (with little blowers that move the snow around without any shaking...this is very important because they're made with a place for a tealight candle to sit in the top so picking them up to shake isn't a good idea). I love wrapping the presents and putting them under the tree. I love finding gifts my name on them and giving them a shake (one day I'm probably going to break something)! I love the cookies and the treats. And I love happy faces on Christmas day unwrapping presents in a flurry. I love getting Christmas cards and decorating all the shelves in the kitchen with them. I love turning on the Christmas lights and lighting all the candles and sitting in their warm glow. I love the Christmas Eve service and the warm feeling of friends and family gathered around. If we could only take all that love, happiness, joy and peace of the season and make it last the whole year round!
